Library
The Ngakonui Valley School Library is one of the most modern and updated libraries in Taumarunui. We have approximately 3,800 books, and get in at least 500 new books each year. The books in our library are divided into five groups: picture books, sophisticated picture books, chapter books, non-fiction books and reference books. The reference books can't be taken out but can be read in the library. Also, our non-fiction books are sorted under the Dewey Decimal system. We have books from 000 - 999, for any project that might be done.

Tuhua Room
Tuhua Room is used for extra lessons. Matua Barnabus Seiloa uses this space to work with students who need a bit of extra help, and Mrs Jasmine Walker runs our school's Reading Recovery programme out of here as well.

Sickbay
The sick bay is a nice comfortable place by the staffroom, to heal children in pain, or who feel queazy or sick. There is a nice bed there for if you are really ill or really badly hurt and has lots of mdeical equipment and items, such as bandages, plasters, creams, medicines, oils, towels and some teddy bears for people who are sad, to make them feel cosy.
